On Friday September 18th, EEC Solutions kicked-off its first ever Leadership Program. The main goal and purpose of this programs revolves around providing opportunities for the youth in our community regarding self and character development, networking and career exploration. This six-week research-based program touches on a diverse range of topics, featuers two exploratory and educational trips, and allows the participants to step out of their confort zone and create new connections. The group gathered for dinner at the Southern Dunes Golf & Country Club in Haines City, FL., where we began the night with introductions by all the participants and EEC Staff.
The topic for kick-off night revolved around Personal Finance Education & Financial Responsibility. CEO Alex Morales-Hernandez introduced the guest speaker of the night, Ms. Dorcas A. Crumbley, an entreprenuer and business owner in the Polk County area. Ms. Dorcas is the proud owner of Essential Catering Solutions, a catering company focused on providing unique, luxurious and delectable goods for all of life's special moments. Ms. Dorcas gave us insight into her journey as an entreprenuer and the lessons learneed from her experience as a business founder and owner.
